Program Description
"The Hertzler ‘Silver Bullet’ two-blade props"
By Gary Hertzler
The Hertzler ‘Silver Bullet’ two-blade props typically found on canards have a laminated maple core that is covered with carbon and BID glass. Gary Hertzler, now retired, will discuss his involvement, his process and his efforts to produce this popular blade. Gary has sold his brand to Joe Person [Persson Propeller, LLC].
"EZ Noselifts: Problems and Solutions"
By Marc Zeitlin
Marc Zeitlin has seen many nose lift failures in the common electric systems. On EZ Noselifts, the attach bolts loosen which can lead to nose gear collapse. He has developed a clamp system to eliminate the major failure modes and a new electric nose lift system both of which he will discuss.
"Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System"
By Andrew Baxley
A few years ago, the military added a life-saving innovation to the F-16 called Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System; it won the Collier trophy and has saved multiple pilots. Andrew Baxley; an Air Force and civilian test pilot will present research being conducted on a COZY MKIV aircraft with this technology installed.
