The campgrounds will be available during CanardsWest! YEA!!!
We were just advised that the Campground will be open to our group.
As many of you already know, Columbia Airport offers a wonderful campground tucked away in the shade of an old oak grove. You can pitch your tent at one of 20 campsites that include picnic tables and fire rings, or you can camp right under the wing of your airplane. The campground also features a large group fire ring, bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, horse shoe pits and a sand volleyball court. At just $10/night the campground at Columbia Airport is one of the best deals around for camping.

April 26, 2021 Update:
A message from the event organizer, Tim Fisher:
Bad News/Good News
The bad news; the Governor of California and the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors continue to keep the airport guest facilities closed at least to June 15 as a part of COVID Restrictions. Our event is scheduled for June 4-6.
The good news; we are going to proceed without these facilities in an abbreviated fashion. If you have not made hotel or any other reservations, be sure to make them as the campground will be off limits.
Nor will we have the use of the pavilion for presentations and dinner. So here is our plan:
- Friday evening;
- Saturday Morning;
- Saturday evening;
David Orr has arranged the ‘borrowing’ of a hangar for informal gathering and a $20 pizza night on Friday evening. If you want to have a pizza let us know, we will collect cash [or check] on site Friday for those who arrive early.

Fly-out to Placerville [KPVF] where the Hangtown EAA Chapter 512 is hosting a Pancake Breakfast for $6 from 8:00 to 11:00 and a $.25/gallon reduction in gas price. Click here for more Info.
we have garnered a space at the El Jardin Restaurant, where we usually go anyway for dinner and discussion. The menu selections are on the links to the left. The $25 dinner will include non-alcoholic drinks, appetizers and two choices [unless you order one of the big salads]. Please make your selection and send me your money in advance of June 4th to get a seat with the group.
We will see what activities evolve on the ramp or at other airports as the group gets involved.; it’s your event!!
