Program Description

"Radio Upgrades and the ADS-B goal"

Clues and advice on upgrading and working towards the ADS-B configuration. Starting January 1, 2020 ADS-B Out will be required to fly in most controlled airspace. Chris Randall [KWHP] specializes in canard type aircraft radio installations. He will be on the ramp in his own Long EZ and will be available for questions.

Mountain flying, even more so than flight in the flatlands, is very unforgiving of poor training and planning. "Around the World Prep"

Planning for an around the world flight takes special preparation. Marc Zeitlin recently assisted prepping a COZY III for a Round The World Record Breaking flight for Pilot Damon Meyer. Discussion of existing record. What's required for the plane and pilot preparation. How to stay safe. Description of logistics and routing to minimize difficulties and maximize chance of breaking the record.
